Clermiston Road Pedestrian Crossing

5 Jun 2023

There is a desperate need for a pedestrian crossing on Clermiston Road, and there is now a site proposed at Clerwood Park.

Though there had been hope that the crossing might be delivered this year, as design work hs not yet begun, this will not be possible.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "While we had hoped the crossing would come this summer, and in time for the new school year, but this is unfortunatelynot going to be the case.

"It's really important that we get a crossing in here, for all pedestrians but especially for children to access the Forest Kindergarten safely.

"Robert and I are going to keep pushing on this, as it needs to be installed as quickly as possible."
