Duart Crescent Post Office

Following the news that the operators of the Duart Crescent Post Office have decided to sell, Christine and local Councillor Ed Thornley visited to learn about how many postmasters are having to make difficult decisions. 

Christine said, "Nahim told us that his family have been here since the late 90s. With such a record of service to this community, it's really sad that he's having to move on.

"There is a growing trend of postmasters picking up more services, especially with growing bank closures. At the same time, many are having to make difficult decisions about the future of their businesses.

"It is to be hoped that the Post Office will remain after the sale, especially now the Office on St John's Road has closed too. These local services are vital and increasingly under threat."
