Roseburn CCWEL Update November 2022

2 Nov 2022

Alan and Euan brought a motion recently for the Council to explore support for Roseburn's businesses to support with the drop in business that they have seen during the CCWEL Roadworks.

This was finally agreed after the same proposal was rejected earlier this year. A report will come back to the Council’s next finance committee with options.

Lib Dem councillor Euan Davidson said, "We are pushing for this work to be processed as rapidly as possible to ensure that our local businesses get the support they need.

"More generally we are aware of the frustrations that many residents have been feeling recently with regular road closures and layout changes. This has been exacerbated with CityFibre and Scottish Water works taking place at the same time, affecting everyone who travels through Roseburn and Murrayfield.

"We regularly feed these back to the contractors and are pushing for more regular and open communication with residents."
