We are delighted that after months of pressure involving our Councillors and locals, the Council agreed to remove the bin hubs at the bottom of Murrayfield Avenue.
This followed a walk round with Officers when the policy for siting the hub was addressed.
Said Cllr Alan Beal “It was clear that as well as being unsightly, the hub wasn’t needed – it was under the threshold of dwellings required for a hub”.
It was part of the CCWEL project, but there are other bins close by. Not only this, but neighbours had plenty of evidence that showed it being used by non-locals to dump large amounts of rubbish from vehicles.
