Caldwell calls for Bonnington affordable housing

Cllr Jack Caldwell, Leith Walk, said:
"Bonnington residents approached me with real concerns with the PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accomodation) proposals in Ashley Place so I requested a Hearing at yesterday's Planning committee and gave a deputation relaying residents' points, including my own concerns that this area needs affordable housing as was principally agreed in 2008.
The committee Refused the application by 7 votes to 3.
The site is still approved for Residential Housing including affordable homes, which I encouraged to the developers at the initial consultation stage and will continue to make the case for."
