CCWEL Extended Again
The ongoing saga that is CCWEL is not over yet – the end of the works has been put off once again, this time to the end of April.
At this point, the right hand turn into Roseburn Street will finally be reinstated and all bollards will be removed. Some night working is taking place in March before then to facilitate this.
We are disappointed that the needs of the community and the views of Councillors were so often ignored in this project. Please, however, let us know of any defects asap.
Currently, the West Approach Road is closed because of construction of the Roseburn to Union Canal cycleway.
This should reopen at the start of April, but has meant the digging up of much of the green areas between Gorgie and Roseburn. These and more trees will be reinstated during construction.
