Communal Bins

19 Sep 2024

There are still a number of issues with the rollout of the latest communal bins, the placements and uplift continue to be areas of the most amount of concern.

Hal Osler says “Thank you to everyone that has contacted me about issues with the rollout, as you maybe aware, I have tried at every opportunity to make sure that residents voices are heard.

Unfortunately this has been a bit of an uphill struggle with my latest motion asking for resident amenity to be considered in terms of bin siting instead of just being agreed, three parties (Labour, Greens and SNP) decided instead to have a workshop to discuss it further.

The meeting will be held on Monday 16th September. Sadly, despite asking, this is not open to residents attend as it was thought that the numbers could exceed the capacity of the room! I will of course use this opportunity again to press for more consideration of where bins are placed and the impact they are having.”
