Community Council
Now is a good time to get involved as the Community Council election process begins in February. Nominations open on 5th Feb and close on 27th February to be a Community Council member. It happens once every 4 or so years, and is a great way to represent the community. There are Community Councils in Murrayfield and three new ones in Corstorphine – the Corstorphine Gyle, Corstorphine East & West Craigs and Corstorphine & Clermiston. You need to live in one of the areas. Community Councils are part of the Planning process and act as a forum for all kinds of community improvements. Edinburgh West Lib Dem Councillors Thornley and Beal have been involved in ensuring that Corstorphine Community Council continues to March, ready for the new arrangements.
