Corstorphine LTN Update

5 Jul 2023

With the Low Traffic Neighbourhood in Corstorphine having now been in place for a few weeks, the consultation is still open for any who wish to make their views known.

In addition, the Lib Dem team have been running a survey of local residents to gather further information about how people feel about the changes - both as a whole and individual measures.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "I know there has been a huge response to the survey, and I look forward to seeing the results.

"Several residents have been in touch having been fined for different reasons in the LTN, and seem to be caused by genuine confusion around what is and is not now permitted."

Local residents organised a very well-attended public meeting in St Margaret's Park to discuss the LTN - including how local people were affected by the changes. Members of the Lib Dem team went along to hear people's views.

Ed Thornley said, "Robert and I are working closely with our colleagues who represent the Corstorphine/Murrayfield ward on this. The next step is to collate all the feedback we've received from the survey, the meeting and speaking to local people, and use it all to inform how we move forward."
