Craigleith Retail Park Access Update

Over the years there has been an increasing number of requests/complaints regarding pedestrian and cycle access to Craigleith Retail Park.

Sadly such access is not within the control of the Council as it is private land owned and managed/controlled by Sainsburys.

Meetings have been had with Sainsburys management, and small improvements to signage and line painting have been made but little improvement in access so far.

Local Lib Dem councillor Hal Osler said, “This is something that is being actively pursued and Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP has taken the issue up by writing to Sainsburys HQ, since decisions are made at that level. We will continue to push for changes as they are desperately overdue.”
