Dijkstra-Downie presses road safety concerns

At today's meeting of Edinburgh Council, Forth Councillor Dijkstra-Downie pressed for updates to the road safety programme.
Following a letter signed by 53 different parent councils from across the city stating concerns about road safety across Edinburgh, Councillor Dijkstra-Downie said
“I know firsthand of projects across Forth ward in North Edinburgh that were supposed to be implemented this year and haven't even started. So my question to the Council leader is: can the Council leader confirm this is a priority for this administration, and what needs to change for projects that have been in the pipeline for some time to finally be implemented?”.
The Council leader responded that road safety is a top concern and will look into the matter further.
However, later on in the meeting, after obtaining a list of projects scheduled, by using her written question, Cllr Dijkstra-Downie quizzed the Transport and Environment Convenor on lists that don't match up. Cllr Dijkstra-Downie asked:
“Can the Transport and Environment Convenor tell me why there appears to be 20 fewer projects listed on the list he has supplied me, compared to a recent Freedom of Information request by Parent Councils?”
The Transport and Environment Convenor pledged to investigate.
