Duncan Street update

Resident and Councillor calls for the making safe of this neglected corner with Upper Gray Street have appealed again to the Council. The sticking point is the ownership of the development site which borders the pavements, which are a Council responsibility.

A latest safety inspection occurred recently but plans and timeframes for remedial work are still not in place. We are very aware as we slip into Autumn, that it will be two years since a serious injury occurred at the site. The latest inspection from Councillor Flannery revealed deep crevices, lying parallel to the site boundaries, which seriously impede movement for pedestrians and are impassable for buggies or mobility-users. This is not good enough.
