Resurfacing works will take place on the west end of Montgomery Street tomorrow (Thursday 27th March) and north side of Brunswick Street starting next Monday (31st March).

Brunswick Street will be surfaced between Leith Walk (Elm Row) and Montgomery Street and will include the main carriageway, but not the parking bays on either side.

Councillor Jack Caldwell said "I'm grateful to residents who've worked with me to pursue both of theseand the Trams to Newhaven engineers for recognising the impact the tramworks have had on these residential streets between 2019 and 2022 as they were used for loading zones and construction equipment.

I have worked cross-party and heard residents' concerns loud and clear."

Bollards for the end of Montgomery Street have been ordered and will be installed along with cycle access improvements before Summer 2025.
