Getting new dropped kerbs on Montgomery Street

Councillor Caldwell has been campaigning for and liaising with Council officers to get proper dropped kerbs at two locations on Montgomery Street.

Councillor Caldwell said β€œIt's vital that the busy stretch between Leith Walk and Easter Road becomes a lot more accessible for individuals who use wheelchairs and prams. It's not fair to ask them to try and go up and down steep kerbs."

"While the two locations set for upgrade works on Monday, the Hillside Bowling Club Entrance and the tunnel to Montgomery Street Lane at the west end of the street, I'm aware that there are two small lanes across the stretch that need to be revisited. I'll also keep pressing for a better surface on that pavement."

You can request dropped kerbs directly to the Council at edinburgh.gov.uk.
