Jardine celebrates Edinburgh West restaurant nominations
Edinburgh West MP Christine Jardine has congratulated Prahna Indian Grill and St John’s Curry Club in her constituency for being nominated in the Scottish Asian Restaurant Awards.
10,000 people voted online for their favourite venues, with 70 businesses making the shortlist from across Scotland.
Christine emphasised the importance of local businesses to the economy and highlighted the difficulty restaurants are facing during the cost of living crisis.
Christine said, “It is fantastic that these excellent local establishments have received this acknowledgement as two of the top restaurants in Edinburgh.
“Many of us in Corstorphine and Edinburgh West already know how fantastic the food is at both of these establishments, so it’s wonderful that they are being recognised nationally.
“I understand that for many people it is a tough time and the first thing people cut back on is spending money to eat out or order in.
“However, local businesses are integral to the local economy so I would urge residents and visitors to continue supporting both Prahna and St John’s Curry Club.”
