Jardine Launches Survey and Visits Local Businesses on Small Business Saturday

9 Dec 2024

The survey collects information about the challenges that businesses in Ms. Jardine’s constituency are facing. It also assesses the local impact of recent UK Government policies, like changes to Employers’ National Insurance in the Autumn budget.

Ms. Jardine will also meet with Edinburgh West businesses this week, to hear from employees and owners alike.

Christine Jardine said:

“Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of our local economy in Edinburgh West, and I worry about the excessive burden that the UK and Scottish Governments have placed on them in recent years.

“I want to represent the concerns of small businesses as effectively as possible, which is why I have launched a survey to be filled out by business owners in the coming days.

“If you are a small business owner in Edinburgh West and haven’t yet received a copy of the survey, please email me at christine.jardine.mp@parliament.uk, and I will get one to you as soon as possible.”
