The Participatory Budgeting event allows everyone who lives, works or volunteers in Leith, Pilrig, Newhaven, Hillside, Broughton, Easter Road or Bonnington to cast a vote for new community projects.

Leith Walk ward Councillor Jack Caldwell, who sits on the steering committee of the Council and volunteer-run project said "It's really important our community has its voice heard. There are lots of amazing projects and organisations to learn more about too. All the projects will be running within the Greater Leith area all the way to London Road and Rodney Street, so if you live in Leith Walk ward - please take a few minutes to get your voice heard".

Forth ward Councillor Sanne Dijkstra-Downie attended the in-person voting event on Saturday 18th January said “Residents of Newhaven Main Street, Hawthornvale and Annfield are eligible to vote, along with everyone in Forth ward who works, studies or volunteers in Leith”.
