Lib Dems fight for Kirkliston flooding cash
The local Lib Dem team have secured important cross party backing for a new push to address serious flooding in Kirkliston.
A Lib Dem motion, specifically about the village, was backed at the council transport committee. This means officers have to identify funding options for the detailed River Almond flooding study needed to develop solutions for the future.
Cllr Lewis Younie said, “Last December, the village was hit by some of the worst flooding local people have ever seen.
"It is why we have worked as a Lib Dem team to fight for the money needed to prevent such events from happening again.”
