London Road left turn and pedestrian improvements starting soon

Local Leith Walk Lib Dem Councillor Caldwell says work should take place this week on re-opening the left turn into London Road from Elm Row for traffic. This turning will be a ~12 second window and should not impact on the longer crossing times for pedestrians.

Additionally, as part of the wider Elm Row changes previously posted about, a path will be laid through the pictured patch of grass for easier pedestrian movement before planting is started.

This work is part of the wider works including new bollards and lining on Montgomery Street, re-laying a number of the paving stones on Elm Row and moving the cycle lane to allow more room for the bus stops, as detailed here.
