Orchard Park - Swale

Work is due to start soon on the Swale in the bottom western corner of Orchard Park adjacent to Orchard Drive.

A consultation was had with residents (in the park) about what they would like to see in the wider park and thought has gone into what of those ideas can be developed in this project. So as well as (hopefully) reducing the flooding, a path is going in to make it easier to access Queensferry Road from the park side.

Unfortunately there is still going to be stepped access to the upper area of the park as it was not possible (under this project) to put in a ramp. This is something that I will continue to push for as it is important that everyone is able to have full and equal access to their local greenspace.
