Parkgrove Drive to be resurfaced at last!

After years of campaigning from the local Lib Dem team, working across parties and with Parkgrove residents, Parkgrove Drive will be resurfaced in this financial year.
Parkgrove Drive, along with Parkgrove Loan and Green, will be resurfaced as part of the Council's 2025/26 road repair programme.
Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "This is simply fantastic news. The biggest issue residents raise with me is road repairs, and the road mentioned most often is Parkgrove Drive.
"This has been due for years, and has always been missed off the list for various reasons. We've done huge amounts of work on this, working across all three local councillors, to try and get the Council to take action.
"From presenting a cross-party motion to the Transport Committee in April 2023, to petitions, surveys and committee amendments, we have been pushing hard for the Council to finally listen to residents and get this very basic service right.
“I'm delighted to see Parkgrove Drive on the list for repair this year, and we'll share updates and the timescale for this work when we have it.”
In the meantime, efforts to improve road safety on Parkgrove Drive and the rest of the route to and from Clermiston Primary will continue, and we'll keep pushing to make this road safer for all users and tackle rat-running.
