Raised Pavements
The issue of raised pavements was raised by the Lib Dems at the recent Council meeting and was referred to the Transport & Environment Committee (TEC). In particular, the tactile parts of the feature, but also, raised by Cllr Beal - the parking on them. This is an issue of concern in Roseburn Place where there appears to be no sanction when parking on raised pavements. It is a well used walking route to Primary School. The TEC did not recognise the issue and we are concerned that the issue is as yet unresolved – it is not being treated as pavement parking.
Two of the three new Corstorphine Community Councils have met already– all did reach their quota in the end (after the content for the last e-news was created). Lib Dems were central to keeping the previous Community Council operating to the end; Cllr Beal says “I am delighted to see the new energy and people in the new ones.” There will need to be new websites and emails addresses , so watch this space! All Community Councils are open to members of the public to attend; the new Corstorphine & Clermiston meets on the third Tuesday; Corstorphine-Gyle on the last Wed; Murrayfield on the second Tuesday.
