Route 13 Bus - New Operator

Recently there have been a few queries regarding the future of the 13 bus route. As residents may recall, the route was up for re-tender last year and officers had suggested re-routing the bus so that it no longer went into the centre of the City. Luckily the Liberal Democrat Group were successful in securing support from other parties to make sure that the route remained unaltered. The contract has just been awarded to McGills who will begin operating the Route 13 service from December 2024. A contract extension was agreed with Edinburgh Coach Lines to continue running the service until then, to ensure continuity of service.
