Trees behind North Bughtlinside

6 Aug 2024

Over the late spring and early summer, a few trees along the stretch of path behind North Bughtlinside were felled in the stormy weather.

We reported these swiftly, and they were cleared away promptly – but it did raise concerns among residents about the possibility of other trees falling too.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “We put in a request for a safety inspection of these trees, and this has now been completed.

“A few were identified as in need of some attention and have been added to the Forestry teams list.”

There’s quite a long list of trees across the city that the team need to work through, but we’ll be keeping an eye on this to get them done as soon as possible.
