The Council has started work at Keddie Gardens, a small park at the Leith end of Ferry Road, after a long campaign.

This includes a new slide, an accessible trampoline, and an inclusive roundabout.

A Culture and Communities committee meeting earlier this week confirmed that £204,000 has been set aside to move these works up the priority list.

Councillor Caldwell said “I'm chuffed these works are going ahead. This has been a long-running campaign, and when 66% of the playground equipment came out of commission, it was time to take action. I'm grateful to the Council's Parks department for recognising the significance of this play area being nearly empty for too long, and  will continue to liaise with the Council, call meetings, and work cross party to push for better amenities for our area's precious parks and greenspaces.”
