ViewAt the 2022 Council Elections, the Liberal Democrat group in Edinburgh doubled in number to 12 councillors.
Following the elections, we took up leadership positions on three non-political committees and begun to make important strides in the Council for residents.
So far we have achieved big wins on pavement parking, tourist tax, EV charging, trees management, playground maintenance, school air quality and speeding enforcement.
In March 2023, we won the Corstorphine/Murrayfield by-election, with Fiona Bennett becoming our 13th councillor.

ViewNew bin hubs are being installed across Hillside and Broughton, after Leith, Bonnington and Pilrig last year.
Highlights include Viewforth resurfacing, speed limit reviews and the Braidburn Terrace one-way scheme.
Now that the High Street pavement works are due to have finished, an update from the team on what we're doing on the LTN.
Residents have been in touch concerned about the communal waste bins being moved from Coltbridge Terrace to the junction of Murrayfield Place and Avenue.
Work to widen and provide lighting on the path running from Torwood Crescent towards the school and Meadow Place Road has been heavily delayed.
The Lib Dem team are continuing efforts to get speeding tackled on Maybury Road.
