ViewAt the 2022 Council Elections, the Liberal Democrat group in Edinburgh doubled in number to 12 councillors.
Following the elections, we took up leadership positions on three non-political committees and begun to make important strides in the Council for residents.
So far we have achieved big wins on pavement parking, tourist tax, EV charging, trees management, playground maintenance, school air quality and speeding enforcement.
In March 2023, we won the Corstorphine/Murrayfield by-election, with Fiona Bennett becoming our 13th councillor.

ViewThe 31 bus service continues to suffer from delays and sometimes not turn up at all. We are working with Lothian to improve this.
Concerns have been raised regarding the location, safety and accessibility of the new bin hubs.
Residents have until 20th May to give their views on the extension of the existing Spaces for People measures.
Lots of residents have been in touch regarding the new 'pocket park' at the junction with Meadow Place Road.
Following concerns about the "floating parking spaces" making it dangerous for pedestrians to cross the road near the surgery - part of the bike lane will be removed so that the parking places will be returned to their original position.
The ongoing saga that is CCWEL is not over yet – the end of the works has been put off once again, this time to the end of April.
