ViewAt the 2022 Council Elections, the Liberal Democrat group in Edinburgh doubled in number to 12 councillors.
Following the elections, we took up leadership positions on three non-political committees and begun to make important strides in the Council for residents.
So far we have achieved big wins on pavement parking, tourist tax, EV charging, trees management, playground maintenance, school air quality and speeding enforcement.
In March 2023, we won the Corstorphine/Murrayfield by-election, with Fiona Bennett becoming our 13th councillor.

ViewThe next stage of the Communal Bin Review which impacts Dean, Stockbridge and Canonmills is in the process of being rolled out.
In April out of the blue car parking permit holders were written to, to say that all parking dispensations which allowed for individuals to park in pay and display and next door parking zones would be removed.
There is a program of road resurfacing happening in the Canonmills area with a degree of work being conducted throughout the night.
Work continues at the Craigleith Junction to fix the leaking cable and has caused a number of issues over the last few weeks.
